Manual Thumb Safety Spring

Hello,

I just purchased a M&P .40c for my first gun. I just installed the Apex FSS kit and now I want to play around with my thumb safety. I saw photos on another thread and will be trimming my lever similar to what CDI sold. I would also like to firm it up a little but dont want to alter the detents on my lever. Does anyone have a specific part number/manufacturer of a replacement spring that will work well?

Thanks,

Wes

Call Apex Tactical, ask Scott or Randy if they would know about a stronger spring. Speed Shooter Specialties carries the factory lever, detent and spring.

I can spell hoosier, but why can't a hoosier spell manual?

Adding more spring pressure will cause both lever and detent to wear faster. Just grab a spare lever from Speed Shooter Specialties for 8 bucks, "alter the detent" on that, don't worry about the spring.

To the Grammar Nazi: It's Dyeing, not "Dying"... didn't have to go far to find that, just saying.

KRWeiss, thank you for the input, very good advise. I am on the back order notification list from Speed Shooter Specialties so I'll get a back up to play around with it.

Thanks

Jason - what is going on with the Hoosier hateing? Are you still a little sour over the Colts beating your Seahawks?

No hate, I have friends/family who are Hoosiers. Besides I don't have any emotional investments into spectator sports.
