Wolff guide rod and springs for M&P 45.

(I did a forum search but didn't find what I was looking for)

How is the Wolff guide rod for the M&P 45? I noticed that their rod has a much thicker section at the back instead of a thin one like the factory guide rod. I am thinking that if I use Wolff springs I need to use their guide rod, and if I use their guide rod I need to use their springs. The reason why I am asking is that I sometimes shoot very light loads and may want a lighter spring. It seems like a pain in the rear to unscrew the factory guide rod.

Check out BT Guide Rods as well.

Order the Sta Tite guide rod with the lighter spring you want and the Sta Tite tool then it's an easy job trading the stock springs and the light springs back and forth

Bill is a great guy to deal with and makes a very high quality product right here in the U.S of A.

I contacted Wolff spring the other day and ask them if their Glock springs were the same as their M&P 45 springs, but just with a different part number. They said I can use my Wolff Glock springs in my 4.5" M&P 45ACP with their fat base guide rod. This is great, since I already have Glock springs, so I don't have to buy another set for the M&P.
