SSS ESP Magwell installation screw up

So I purchased the SSS ESP Magwell and ESP basepads from Robin Taylor at Taylor Freelance. Well let's just get to the point! Robin @ TF is amazing and has great products and the best customer service. SSS has great products and the worst customer service and I am the idiot. I stripped that damn silly little hex nut provided to install this magwell but not before the retainer pin it goes into started spinning on it self inside my frame. I should of been more patient but wasn't and in the end I marred up the magwell, had to dremel a flathead notch in the hex screw just to remove the damn thing and almost jacked my pistol. I have a new retainer pin and hex nut and a clearer understanding of the task at hand lol. I would like to remove the magwell and get it painted to match the VTAC slide. Any suggestions?

Oh man that sucks. I had a little bit of a time getting mine installed and ended up lightly sanding the polymer lip on my M&P's magwell. After that it went in fine and has been on my ESP gun about 2 months and 2 matches. I like it so much I'm getting one for my Pro 5"

It is an amazing product. Where exactly did you sand it at? Also by chance did your grip retaining pin try to spin on itself inside your grip as you tightened the set screw into the magwell?
