Most guys shooting 3-Gun are NOT reloading .223, since the reloading is complex. The guys shooting precision rifle do.

Most guys shooting 3-Gun are also shooting cheap factory 12 Gauge also, in 7.5 or 8 shot. "Low-Brass" Federal from Walmart in the 100-packs is what I've seen most.

The pistol ammo depends on the game. In "Outlaw" 3-gun, there are usually no power-factor limits, so guys are shooting 147Gr 9mm Production Division ammo. If you're in USPSA 3-Gun, then you have Major and Minor Power Factors for Tactical, Open, etc. Most guys shoot their USPSA loads Major or Minor for 3-Gun, simply so the gun feels the same.

Pistol: M&P Core: 147 LRN 3.7 WSF (PF 130). Federal 7.5 or 8 12 gauge form Wally Mart. .223: 55 gr behind 22.5 gr H322, 75 gr behind 22.5 gr 8208 XBR. Very few pistol powders available for 147 LRN. For .223, a lot of folks use CFE 223 powder.
