My practice loads are 155gr rn bayou bullets with 5.4gr hp-38 and fed primers at 1.140 .

carry ammo is bought as its far quicker with no signs of high pressure. 155gr at 1300fps +

Dan from Mt. says thanks for all the info. I will be reloading for my new M&P .40 soon. Just have to find some powder.Looks like some for my 629 classic will work.

I use 6.5 gr of Auto-Comp with an xtreme plated 165 gr bullet.

xtreme 180gr over 4.7gr of unique. Functions out of the Pro just fine with factory spring.

Have you run this load through a chronograph? Curious what your velocities were.

165 gr bullet from rainer, 4.6 gr of 700X. cci primers. My shield really, really likes these.

My favorite 40 load is 6.5 gr of Auto-Comp and 165 gr Xtremes.

As with any loads on the internet, check and use with caution.
