Reloading is a dangerous business if you are not careful too. The primer compound is Lead Styphnate which is soluble in water whereas lead is not. Dust and soot from fired cases contain that stuff. It is much more likely to get into your system if you are not careful than solid lead bullets, lead fumes (doesn't happen until it is heated to 1750C/3180F compared to casting temp of 700-800F) or lead ingots. There is the danger of ingesting lead dust if you smoke, eat or drink without washing your hands while or after reloading and danger of inhaling lead dust if you mine lead from shooting berms or from steel targets shot with lead bullets.

You should sift your tumbled cases outdoors and do the bore brushing outdoors also. You'll see a nice glittery dust come out of the barrel if you use the Chore Boy. That's lead and that's why it's best to do it outdoors.
