$400/thousand is about the going price. I would have thought you'd get a better deal for puchasing in that quantity.

Good thing I started hoarding bullets, brass, power and primers about 5 years ago. I load 1000 for about $140 and it takes about 3 hours.  |

I buy components in bulk and reload 223/5.56 nato in bulk quantities, but I understand that not everyone reloads, or have the equipment required to sit down and crank out large quantities of ammo. Since I like to shoot AR's, and done a bit of prairie dog hunting, both activities which can consume thousands of rounds in a fairly short time, I'm set up for bulk loading. Dillon reloader with a Giraud trimmer, and other goodies for bulk loading. |

40 cents a round honestly isn't that great of a deal; it's "cheap" for overpriced Federal XM855, but non-Federal M855, XM193 (or other manufacturers M193) can be had for cheaper.
