| On the list
I was in a gun shop today and heard one of the counter sales people take a phone call, someone looking for a Shield. He told the caller they presently had a wait list of around 100 people for a 9mm and 25 for a 40S&W. I put in a request at the same shop about 2 months ago, hopefully I'm in the lower end of that 100.

You might want to keep shopping. Being on the "list" doesn't mean yours is on the way. At one a week (optimistic), that's around 2 years.

Definately still shopping, the first one I see or hear of at a reasonable non inflated price will be mine.

My local GS has around a dozen of each caliber. I purchased mine for $429 which I thought was excellent.

I got my 9 Shield a few days after it was announced at the NRA Convention. I haven't seen another one at any of my LGS's or Cabella's. So that's about 4 months... right? I'm pretty lucky! My serial number is in the 600's I wasn't even planning on buying it. It was there. My wife held it. I held it. I dry fired it a few times and my wife told me to get it! It was supposed to be her carry piece and she still hasn't taken the step to CC yet.I think I paid $419.99 plus tax? I don't recall but keep shopping and you'll find one. Happy Shooting! -Dirvo- |

| I am super lucky! She just told me a little after we bought the Shield that I should get the HK45C in FDE that they're group buying on HKPRO (needless to say my names on that list). I am a lucky man and she loves to shoot! Now if I could just get her to start carrying and take some classes I'd be all set. Happy Shooting! -Dirvo-
