Used Price Question...

So, I've yet to see the gun. I am meeting a gentlemen today that supposedly bought the .40 shield brand new, shot a box of shells thru it, and decided it was too small for his hands. He's priced it to me at $425. The price is firm. An M&P lover, of course I want to jump on this, but it's also been awhile since I've done any price checking. Both locally, and on the Internet. So, the question is....
Good Price?

Thanks in advance..

Nothing wrong with that price. It's not a screaming deal, especially used, but he's not ripping you off either.

Any used gun I buy from an unknown source, I INSIST that I get to function check it whenever possible. To me, that means running 3-4 magazines through it at a minimum. In case it has issues!

If it runs, and it's $425 cash, with no FFL/taxes... Yes, $425 is great!

Gentlemen,

Thank you for the knowledgable advice. I will keep you updated on how this turns out. Thanks for affirming that 425 was a decent price. Haven't been to the shops lately, and frankly wasn't sure what they were selling for. Based on some other threads I'm reading, it sounds like availability is more of a concern than price itself

At 425 if you dont like it you will get your money back. Keep in mind that it is a S&W, if it dosent function 100% for what ever reason, it is baked by a lifetime guaranty.
I SAY BUY IT!

I agree! Thanks for pointing that out. I had already thought about it, but, it is a good point. It would be a pain to have to wait, and ship the gun if there is something wrong with it, but, nice to know that I have that option! Thanks for your input...

Beats waiting forever. Academy Sports told me today that it may be 2-3 months before they have any Shields. 2 LGS have echoed the delivery woes. Seems that the 40cal wait list is shorter than the 9mm.

I say go for it.......or wait patiently.....and wait.......and wait

I agree. Not a screaming deal, but, availability is zero, and demand is high. Thus, making the price what it is. Thanks for all the input.

That's a good price. Are they readily available?
