Shield 40 7 round magazines

Been searching every source I personally know of to obtain but keep coming up empty handed (out of stock) seems to be the word for the day/over a month. Anyone in the same boat as me or do you have a secret vendor with some in stock? My first S&W and really disappointed in not being able to source a few. I realize it's a relative new product line but nearly two months now seems a bit ridiculous don't you agree?

Well, got my answer after speaking with S&W representative. The only ones (mags) available are for in-house testing and filling orders for the shield itself. Expected release date sometime next year! Great organization... to say I'm a bit mad would be an under statement.

Knowing what I know above, doesn't someone know of a Ma & Pa outfit that might just have a couple on the shelf? Even a few used ones would suit my needs and willing to pay top dollar (new prices) if necessary. Even though S&W is not sending them out to their vendor community, surly someone knows of a source I'm unaware of. This is a large forum so really hoping someone can provide the information.

I ordered 2 from S&W 2 weeks before xmas and got a nice postcard around xmas saying HAHAHAHAHAHAHA we have none. Sent them an email Monday and got the same response! No clue when they will be filling orders!

New member here, but I just picked one up for 9mm at a local gun show, factory original mag brand new in package.

Also picked up 4 8 rounders for the 9mm Shield at my local Sportsmans Warehouse.

For some unknown reason (hmm mag drop problem?) S&W has not made the .40 mags available, either through them or retailers.

Yeah the 9mm mags you can buy all over the place. Just cannot find the 7 rd for the 40. Kinda got me a little concerned .... Internal issues maybe????

I was able to pick up two on eBay last month from a pawn shop in Arizona I think. Just the mags , no packaging so I was concerned at first but they work great. Was going to get a couple more but they have dried up now too. Best advise is to just keep watching

I just ordered 2 7rd mags from a pawn shop in Alabama off of Ebay. Got the 2 for just over $80.

I got 2 6 and 2 7s off ebay for about 38 bucks a piece.

I finally got myself 6 of the seven rounders for my Shield 40. Seems there's no longer having difficulty getting them out to their vendors small & large. The 9mm have never been a problem and has only been the 40 S&W.
