Dumb response! This has nothing to do with the state I live in. Even in Commie California where I reside, there are legal ways for me to obtain a Shield. Just have to be willing to jump through some hoops. Gary's did not know where I lived. They simply said NO SHIPPING. Must pick up in store. I called both locations today and was told the same thing.

The issue is that Shield's aren't available anywhere and often have to be found out of state.

By the way, at the rate the 2A is being attacked these days, ALL OF YOU so called free state folks had better get used to the government tyranny and oppression we have been feeling in CA for years. I can't wait to post an ad on Gunbroker and say "No Alabama Sales" or "No Texas Sales" in an attempt to punish residents of those states for what rotten Socialist scum politicians that they didn't vote for are doing to ALL of us.

I think you will see some states push back on federally mandated changes or Executive Orders that infringe on the 2a
Texas being one of them

I wonder if they have caller ID and can tell it's a state they don't want to deal with. That's the only thing I can think of, or they figured selling local was less hassle.

Because folks are too lasy to do an internet search, or use a telephone, I did some leg work (took a whole 31 seconds of my time).

Robinette's Guns & Archery has "a few" (sounded like an understatement) M&P40 Shields in stock and they are asking $449 for them.

My local gun store has 5 Shields in .40 only ($449)....no 9mm.

I paid more than I wanted for my 9mm but it's worth it for me.

Peace

so i was going to buy one from them, so called LGS to see what their process was to have a gun shipped to them. asked them if they by chance had any shields in stock, they said they just got a shipment last night of 2 9mm and 2 .40s. told them i would be there in 30 mins. picked up a 9. price was higher than i wanted but they told me manufacture was raising the prices on them...i think bs but whatever. i bit the bullet(no pun intended) and paid the extra for the 9. 9s are about impossible to find so i had to jump on it

Yeah, someone posted on the S&W forum about a gunshow vendor asking $699 for 9mm Shields. And Hyatt in Charlotte NC was advertising 9 mm Shields for $649 -- everybody wants to get GunBroker prices. Makes me feel not so bad about paying $469 for my .40 Shield. It's a sweet handgun. I'm glad I got my full size Range & Carry kit first, but if I had handled a Shield first -- I might have started with one. Of course, that's all hypothetical bs, Maryland didn't even approve the Shield for sale in Maryland until months after I bought my FS anyway.

Talk about a "Dumb response", that's about the most limp dick thing I've ever read in these forums. Do us all a favor and stay in California.

.40's seem to be pretty easy to come by. Wonder why S&W will not ramp up production on the 9mm's?

Peace

Well, Springfield has launched their little XD in 9mm at SHOT show. 7 & 9 round mags. S&W better hurry it up with Shield production, as it looks to be a nice little pistol.

Check out Galleryofguns.com. Their Springfield compact 9mm's show nothing less than
10 capacity. Of course "out of stock". Is this the one your referring to?

I feel ya. I am looking for a 9c and can't find one ANYWHERE locally.

I have a friend thinking about ordering one from an online distributor and I think I might order mine with his. I would really like to support a local guy though.

FWIW....I talked with S&W yesterday and they said they have been in "maximum production mode" with the shields since before they were introduced.
