How do you carry your Shield? I opt for appendix carry with a Crossbreed Appendix Holster. Incredibly comfortable and the gun disappears under a T-shirt!

I carry mine in an OWB holster by Wright Leather Works at about 3:30 - 4:00. For jeans I support it with one of their bull hide 1/4" x 1 1/2" solid one piece belts. For shorts I support it with a Wilderness Instructor belt. The Shield is the ideal conceal carry weapon.

I carry in a Flashbang Ava holster, at 4 o'clock . Very comfortable, but any holster gets uncomfortable for me after a long 12 hours. I've thought about carrying appendix, but in and out of a car a lot i imagine gut stabbing being a problem, I suppose I'll try it sooner or a later though.

For going on walks with my kids, hiking etc.....where retention is not a huge issue, I use a Blackhawk soft IWB holster Size 7 for my M&P .40 Shield. It's a Right Hand version though and although I am right handed, I prefer a Left holster as I like to carry in the small of my back with the butt facing my right hand. So as soon as my LGS gets a Left Size 7 in stock I will buy one.

I do find that I get a lot of perspiration where the holster contacts my skin....but then it is summer and has been really hot lately.

NCWRay....that Bianchi Allusion is really nice looking.

I have a Cook's kydex IWB and an Alien Gear hybrid IWB. They both fill different niches. I grab the Cook's when I'm going to be needing to de-holster for some reason (to and from work, where I'm not allowed to carry, for example). I use the Alien Gear when I'm going to be wearing all day or need to tuck. I carry both at 3:30-4:00. I've tried other positions and can't do it anywhere else.

I just ordered a leather one from Outbags. Let's see how this goes
i got one of those. For a quick and dirty IWB to run into a store real quick or something I thought it worked fine. Don't know I would want to carry with it all day. Couldn't beat the price though. I rarely carry in the places I go (a lot of times I can't. Bar, work, bank etc) so my Shield stays in the car for the most part. It's easy to slip this in my waistband pretty quick if I have to go to an ATM some other undesirable place.

The only complaint I have about the Outbag is that the inside of the clip that holds the clip to the holster would get hooked on a seam on the inside of my jeans making it almost IMPOSSIBLE take the holster off without undoing your jeans. I put a piece of adhesive velcro (the soft part, not the toothy part) over it and it keeps it form getting caught but the clip still hooks the belt like it's supposed to. Like I said, no sweat guard so I probably wouldn't want to wear it all day, but just to quick pop on and take off when you are in an undesirable part of town, I think it works fine. Especially for $20.00!
Pardon the crappy picture. Cheap phone camera.

After 12 weeks, my Wright Predator like JaysQ has came in! I like it. Stiffer and more retention than my Winthrop, the mouth doesn't try and close after I draw it. Still pretty stiff, just need to wear it and break it in. I wish I could photograph mine as well as JaysQ did his. Mine just don't do the coffee color justice. Maybe I'll try again toward dusk when the light is better... and use a stump as a back drop instead of a towel!

I will be using one of two holsters for the M&P Shield .40 S&W I'm about to buy:
  1. For carrying in the 3:00 - 4:00 position, a Milt Sparks Versa-Max 2. I currently carry an H&K P2000 SK with this holster and it is SUPER comfortable.
  2. For appendix carry, I will probably go with the High Noon "Alter Ego High Ride Tuckable". I currently have one of these for the M&P 40c I carry; also very comfortable.

I'm not carrying yet, because I'm waiting for approval of my concealed weapons permit. But to take the CWP class, it was required to have a holster. After extensive searches, YouTube videos, etc., I went with the Aegis Armory Shield for my M&P 9mm Shield.

I've been wearing it around the house at the 4:00 position to break it in, and at the range, and it's been comfortable.
