Anyone running these as an EDC?

I love them in my full size. I have trouble seeing my sights at the range and the TFO's were the answer but I have read of some people having trouble with the rids falling out.

Don't want to spend the money if they are going to be more trouble than they are worth.

The problem with the rods (or rids if you prefer) was pretty much ironed out a couple years ago. TFO sights are good to go, and we have them on all our defensive pistols. You'll want to get the latest "M&P Shield compatible" version of the TG131MPT, which is currently selling for $72.74 on Amazon.com with free shipping. The set with the yellow rear sight (TG131MPTY) is quite a bit dimmer than the green, but some folks like the separation.

I've had no issues with mine on my EDC Shield. They're exceptionally bright in daylight and I like the green\yellow separation.

They're hard to see when I go to the indoor range. But I can deal with that to get the night glow and daytime benefits.

I put the FS TFO on my Shield because at the time there was no Shield compatible version. I've been meaning to get to pick up another set for my FS. Instead I think I'll order the Shield version and swap the set I have now.

I've had mine on for about 2 weeks. The front sight rod broke loose after cycling the slide a few times, so I did what most have done and put a spot of superglue on it. Shot it a few times and it's holding.
Brightness-wise, I'm not impressed. There doesn't seem to be enough gap to let in light. They look like regular night sights to me. The fiber optic rods do nothing, IMO. I wish I would've gone with the Ameriglo's for the m&p. The lines are cleaner and they wouldn't have shortened my sight radius by half an inch!
