Replacement Magazine Springs

I have Googled everything I can think of and been to all the local shops in my area without any luck of where to find a replacement magazine spring for my Shield. Its a 9mm 7rd magazine (which is somewhat irrelevant I guess because they have the same spring regardless of 7rd or 8rd but I figure better to over inform instead of under). Does anyone have any idea where I could get one of these? Any idea's or direction would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Since the Shield's been out for almost 3 years, it's not really 'new'.
Are you having a problem with your original springs, or simply wanting spares?
There's really no reason to keep spare mags on hand, as they'll last for years of weekly use. If you need a replacement spring, S&W CS will send you one.

I wouldn't really consider it new either that's why I said I guess fairly new, but I agree by the 3 year mark I wouldn't consider it new personally. Regardless, still tough to find replacement mag springs online. So, to be honest this is completely and totally on me and I knew going into it that I would run the risk of having to replace it eventually but I had stumbled across a video online of someone trimming a few coils off of the 7 mag spring and it would allow 8 rounds in it, therefor allowing you to 8+1 with the 7 round short mag. Well, at the time I only used the 8 round mag so I didn't mind experimenting with it just to see and it works fine and properly fits 8 inside. Well, months later I am wanting to trim off that little extra and carry with the 7 round mag instead of the 8 and I personally don't want to carry anything that has been modified by me for numerous obvious reasons. So at this point I'm just hoping to purchase a new spring instead of having to pay the cost of a whole new magazine.

Ah... I remember that guy posting his video to one of the forums.
Give CS a call and they'll most likely sell you a replacement.
Actually, if you say you 'messed yours up' (without going into detail) and offer to buy one, they may say they'll send it for free.
