Modifying the Pearce pinky extension

I have large hands and don't care to have my pinky finger dangling off the flush magazine. The extended magazine is a good fit but adding that grip extension can cause some people concealment issues especially during the summer season.

I like the Pearce extensions but usually find them longer than I really need. I trim them down to a point where I can get a good reliable 2-1/2 finger grip and I'm a happy camper. I use a dremel and finish sand by hand but the job is very simple and can be done with a variety of common tools. With a Magguts kit I end up with an 8+1 gun that is very compact, still shoots nicely and is easily concealed.

nice, but wouldn't an NDZ extension basically do the same thing?
I have bmth and I carry the flush mag with the NDZ extension 90% I carry because it
shows less than the Pierce extension.
I may have to try what you did here myself.

In a word, no.

I don't want to hyjack Holmes thread, but the duck bill on the NDZ would end up tearing a hole in my front pants pocket.

I don'y have any experience with the NDZ extensions. The tongue of their extension looks a bit longer than I'd prefer but I'd really have to try one out to have a valid opinion.

The primary attraction I have for the Pearce extension is it price point and ease of modification. A shooter can use it in its factory configuration or easily size it down to personal preference.

The NDZ extension does look like a very nicely machined item and it should certainly prove durable..

An interesting point. I can see where the pronounced duck bill might indeed present issues in a pocket carry mode.
No worries re: hijackin' the tread. Its all good discussion and information.
