Pro Shield mag problems?

Picked up a new Performance Center ported Shield, Gun is great, shoots good, carries well, and has a great trigger. Question is The empty mags won't drop free, they only drop down about an inch then I have to pull it the rest of the way. This is with both mags that come with the gun, full mags drop and hit the ground.
Is the Shield mag supposed to be drop free? Seems like for it to be a {carry weapon } the time it takes to pull and empty mag out could get you in trouble

They drop right out of both my 40 and 45 shields empty or full.

On my Regular 9mm Shield it depends on how I angle the gun when ejecting the mag. I have big hands and if I am at a angle the mag drags on my palm, I also have Talon Grip Tape on my 8 round mags,

I have to re-position my grip, if I don't the mag will hang up on the fatty part of the palm. And if I don't get it re-positioned just right the first time then I will have released the mag release button which in turn causes the mag catch to drag on the tube of the magazine, so unless I push the mag release button again, I have to strip the mag from the gun.

I just look at it and train myself for it as one of the trade-off's to a owning a Sub-Compact.

I started a thread about the same thing on my regular shield.

It was me and not the gun. My meathooks were keeping it from dropping.
