IWB Holster for shield 9

New to the forum and to the shield. Just bought mine last week and was wondering what everyone's thoughts on holsters are. I plan on carrying between 3-5 o'clock inside the waistband and prefer a single belt clip. I was looking between the foxx holsters little fox and the comp tec infedel ultra max. I was also looking for a spare mag holder and saw a few on their websites. Was wondering if I should do IWB or not for the spare mag. Price is a little factor and I can get the little foxx for about $25 less. Here are the links. http://www.foxxholsters.com/collecti...-black-leather

"wondering what everyone's thoughts on holsters are."

My thoughts are, I prefer a 2 clip belt attachment because it keeps my gun in the same place, my single clip one moves too much. I have the Bianchi Model 135 that utilizes C-clips. It is not quite as easy to put on/take off as the single clip holsters are, but I usually just leave the holster on my belt when I remove my pistol. Plus the C-Clips are very discreet when worn on a black belt.

And for the spare mag carrier I use a Snagmag. It too is very discreet, looks like a knife clip in your pocket. It also keeps the mag up out of the bottom of your pocket and in the proper orientation for drawing and insertion into your pistol.

I have the Clinger Atom and the Stingray. Love the Stingray...the Atom not so much. Don't know if they make a magazine carrier.

Thanks for the responses. I know two clips is ideal but one is more concealable and the removability is something I need. Love the look of the snagmag. If I can fit it that might be a must. Might be tight with my keys, phone, knife, and a multi tool. I love the small size of the kydex stingray but I was wondering how comfortable it is. I'm a bigger guy so I thought a hybrid might be better any thoughts? 6'3 275 38' waist. Yes I know I need to loose weight.

NSR Tactical C-1 minimalist holster.

All I use, works in any position, surprisingly comfortable, pretty easy on/off and the holster is not coming off your belt since it uses a loop with directional button. Worth the coin. If you want you can always take some moleskin and headliner spray and give it an impromptu wrap for a little more comfort.

I've run every static and dynamic shooting and weapon retention drill you could imagine wearing this thing, R O C K-S O L I D !

Do not trust clips, metal or plastic to keep your holster in place during a physical altercation! Just my two pennies.

Looks like a lot of different opinions on this subject. I use a Raw Dog Tactical Defender hybrid. Single clip. Quite comfortable.

Stealthgear "mini"
I have an Onyx for my Shield and a mini for my 9C.
I am liking the Mini even more than the Onyx (which I love)

Congrats on your new shield. I have a few IWB holsters but now using this one for EDC. I'm in construction in Florida and it just works very well.

Because of the heat down here I did put some felt on my skin side and now I don't even know its there.

Enjoy your new 9

I use a Cry Havoc Gear Grim for my Shield. They just recently updated the design to the single clip and concealment wing. Mine has the single strut with belt loop. I actually like the holster as is but the improvements to the design have me thinking about picking up the new version.

The best kydex holster I ever had after spending hundreds of dollars on different holsters is the vedder light tuck. It allows one to adjust the ride height and cant with a screwdriver.

The best holster I have found for Belly band type carry has been the 3speed holster. I can wear running shorts and a tee shirt without printing a single stack 9.
