PaPow,

I understand completely that you value the experience of testing and recording your own results and I agree that you should do that however it makes you happy.

As far as my gun goes, I'm still enjoying it. I've dry fired it at least 200 times since my last outing to the range, and up to that point, I'd put almost 300 through it since new. The trigger seems to have smoothed out since new and I'm getting more used to it. I'd still like to see what the Performance Center model shoots like. I know a range that has one, I see that happening soon, haha. Thanks for the info about the extra cleaning, I'll keep that in mind.

I agree with you on the safety needing to be functional if it's physically on the pistol 100%. I hadn't really looked into it, but I knew it could be disabled and possibly removed.

10-4 on the 124 s.p.

You can buy those metal gongs for a pretty good price considering how much fun it would be to shoot one! If I had some land where I could shoot I would definitely invest in one, haha.

What is it these days??????????? Everyone under 50 yrs. old is a girly man????????????
Well, maybe you should take the time to actually learn a thing or two, before you go spouting off your opinion about pistols you've obviously never shot.

I know that's the case with compensated pistols, and it may hold true with the 45 Shield, as well.

The small ports on my PC Shield 9 bear no resemblance to the ports in compensators, and when fired casually, the difference in it and a standard Shield9 is negligible.

When you run it rapid fire, engaging targets 3-4 rounds per second; it reveals what it's designed for, and the design does make a noticeable difference.

Well, he's either shot one, or he hasn't.

If he has, he's got an opinion. If he hasn't; he's either regurgitating someone else's BS, or spouting off about things he has no knowledge of.

I will do tests of them from the first shot, as well as how they perform after break in. My tests will be with a ransom rest and free hand, all measured from 7yds out to 25yds. I might have to call Hickok45 and stop by the compound and try to wack his 80yd gong a few times...lol. Maybe i might ask him to do a video of them too... he`s a very busy guy, so dont hold your breath...lol.
Have you ever shot a Shield 9 in a Ransom Rest? If so, did you post the results in the forum? I for one would be interested in your results.

If you know what your gun is capable of, that gives you a standard to strive for...or an excuse.
