Update: At the range, first first 10 rounds with the HYVE no problems like before, reloaded, chambered a round, fired, FTE, dropped mag, cleared gun, chambered a round, fired, FTE, dropped mag, cleared gun, chambered a round, fired, FTE.....put the magazine in my gun bag. Going to get ahold of them and see if they will send me another to try.

I would ask for a total refund and move on. These ammo mag add-on`s just aren`t worth the risk if its a self defense weapon.

FTExtract/Eject sounds more like a pistol problem, not a mag problem.

Bob, how`s the stock OEM mags work compared to the HYVE set-up (?)

I made a frakenmag out of a Hyve and a magguts z spring. since the magguts spring lets you add one round over the normal spring my theory was you could fit 11 in the mag for 12 total if one is in the tube.

It's just for range at this time, may always be, if I am going that long I expect I will carry something else and save the Shield for hot summer carry but...

I shot 400 rounds out of it last year (9mm) and it was flawless, I have left the mag loaded all winter and will see if that has led to spring malfunctions as soon as it gets warm.

It very well could be the gun, but never had a problem before. I used the 7 round factory mag after removing the HYVE, and did not have anymore problems.

PaPow, you take apart the OEM mag, and fit the HYVE into it, you can go to youtube and there is a video of installation. Hope that's what you meant?

I`m sorry Bob, i should have been more clear on what i said... i am aware that you add the HYVE base.
What i was wondering, does the gun function properly with the OEM mags, but not the HYVE set-up.

Sorry PaPow, I am easily confused.....but yes, after removing the HYVE, put the stock 7 round mag in, shot 49 rounds thru it, and not one malfunction.

Well, there ya go buddy, problem solved. This is the exact reason why i dont mess with mags, to many problems with these so-called add`on`s.
