NEW FDE SHIELD

Not my cup of tea, but I just saw these on S&W's website:

Shield 40
Shield 9

And it looks like they're being released just like the original Shield's were...only available at first with the thumb-safety then after the sales start to slow down they'll most likely release a NTS model.

I really love the black FDE combo. When I saw these last week, I thought, darn, now I have to sell my black Shield. I'll wait for the NTS model.

To each his own.

Yeah i dont know Ray, i saw these last week, not sure i care for the color theme guns much. I thought i once did and bought the Glock26 in a rare color of battle field green, but thats where it stopped for me...lol. I`m sure they`ll sell a boat load of them anyway. Not quite my cup of tea either. They scream LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT MEEEEEE. No thanks...lol

I thinks its just the color that i`m not really fond of... to FLASHY.
I`m not one to have or want the LOOK AT ME<>LOOK AT MEEEE kind of gun.
The only flash i want, is the flash at the end of the barrel...lol.

There again, to each their own.

NEW FDE SHIELD

I dont consider FDE flashy.
Actually practical in many situations and settings.
As for flashy.
This is flashy.
To each his own indeed as they wouldnt make um if someone wasnt buying um.

Yeah, I'd say those are flashy! I'm a basic kind of guy and I've always carried black or blued pistols, with the exception of my first duty pistol which was a Stainless S&W Model 66.

Agreed, I'm not a fan of FDE myself, but never thought of FDE or in everyday terms "tan" as a flashy color.

I am sure you have a valid point for some, but when I got my M&P9C in FDE, it was only because I just got tired of the same ole same ole black like every other gun. I have a shield and love it, and I am 99% sure I will get that FDE Shield too, I really like the looks of it. The only time someone will see the color of my gun, at training, the range, and well like the old saying goes, smile and wait for flash....and I pray daily that never happens....And as far as a pink gun or blue gun, now that is just wrong....
