New to this site and new to M&P Shield

Just purchased a M&P Shield 9mm. Other than a KelTek P11 first "Plastic" gun. Absolutely shocked at the difference between the P11 and Shield. Shield is a dream to shoot. Fired 100 rounds, absolutely no problems and it was cheap Tula ammo for 75 of the rounds. Accuracy was fair but it was the shooters problem, not the weapon. Mild recoil, so mild that it was surprising to me after the P11. Sold the P11 for $200, paid $359 for the Shield and never looked back. Oh, by the way, LGS where I bought it also had spare 7 round mags for $17.95. Original S&W mags. Overall a good experience, now to find a carry holster for it and see how it carries. Might have to put my Sig 938 up for a while....

Welcome to the M&P forums... Great place and a wealth of great information.
The shield`s are really good guns... easy to conceal. But DONT sell that Sig P938, thats a GREAT shooter..!

Welcome, but be careful those M&P's have a funny way of multiplying. My first M&P was also the 9mm Shield now I have a total of four M&P's. I carry my 9mm Shield in a Comcelment Express IWB holster.

Don't plan on getting rid of the 938, just reducing it's carry time some. I also rotate a 238 into my carry routine, just really liking the Shield. I have avoided the "Plastic" guns for quite some time, guess that is changing rapidly....

ditto on the Concealment Express holster. Got mine from Amazon, and I love it. Fits the Shield 9 perfectly.
