Took my Shield on its first range trip - Awsome

Finally got a chance to put some rounds down range.

I was really impressed by how well the firearm shot right out of the box (after a cleaning of course).

I was shooting at 7 meters. Although my shots were a little low, about 85 percent of them were still in the 9 and 10 ring.

No doubt I need to train more with it but considering I had never shot this firearm before, I thought my results were pretty darn good.

Just recently fired mine as well.

I have to agree with you 100%. I just recently fired mine for the first time Tuesday evening and I'm very happy. I had upcoming qualification for LTC class and no way was I gonna shoot this for a score without firing it first. Put a 100 down range and was very happy with my results. All round within the 8 ring but a little low and to the left. I know exactly what caused that though. That was user error and not the firearm. Qualified for my LTC yesterday morning with with a 244/250. Not to shabby for firing the weapon for the second time.

For its size and weight, the Shield surprises a LOT of people with its capability and soft recoil. It's one of the better pistols in the Subcompact category.

Good to hear that you like it.
The Shield has been my EDC for (almost) 5 yrs now.

9/40/45 Shield`s are among some of the easiest subcompact guns to shoot in my opinion.
Only gun i have that out shoots the shield`s, and by a longshot, my SigP938,
but i rather carry stryker fired guns... they`re plenty enough accurate.

Shields are awesome carry guns! Soft shooting and accurate, but, I'm preaching to the choir....

I agree Bill.

I thought the recoil on such a small firearm would be a problem but was pleased to find it was not.

I have also been watching some of Jerry Miculek's instructional videos on YouTube which has greatly improved my accuracy.
