I also got in on the rebate pricing and ordered a 9 shield to go along with my 2 year old 40c. In addition I ordered a 9c factory barrel, so I can convert my 40c when target shooting. I'm hoping that my wife likes the shield and I can get her interested in getting her CCW.

Where'd you get the SS guide rod? I've heard mixed reviews about AF guide rods, and some had failures as a result. What vehicle? Your username is kind of familiar.

I`ll second that, on the SSGR`s... a lot of junk being made out of spec out there.
I dont have much faith in them... i tried a few, seem to batter the frames very hard. (single spring)
Not trying to bash, but i`ll stick with OEM, they work.

Be careful, i had one and it beat the frame up so hard on my 9mm that i had to take it back out.
Apon further inspection, it hammered the gun so hard that it cracked the frame. The spring they used was to light.
