My new Shield45 compared to my Shield 9mm

Like this .45 Shield more than my 9mm Shield. I pocket carry and found no real difference in the added length and height when it comes to comfort in my front pocket. And the .45 just feels better in the hand thanks to the new grip texturing. I Gave my dad my Shield 9mm since his edc was a .380 Bodyguard...

I also carry in a cheap Kydex IWB at times, but mostly in the front pocket. And Yeah I'm a big guy and wear Cargo pants most of the time at work or around town and if not I'm usually wearing jeans w pockets big enough to draw from. My 9mm Shield was a touch lighter but the .45 doesn't seem to wear to much heavier in the pocket. I live in S. Florida so OWB is a no-go most of the year simply because we ain't got a lot of extra clothing on to provide concealment.

The most noticeable difference that we see between my Shield 9 and 45 is the improved trigger of the 45 and the noticeable improved accuracy.
The Shield 45 was a pleasant surprise.

Congrats on the 45 Shield OP! This is making me curious on the 45. When I got my Shield 9 couple months back, the LGS owner was saying he'd be upgrading to the PC Shield 45...

Improved grip, trigger and accuracy (my fault though) would be a plus moving to a 45.

Go with the PC45, you`ll love it...! The PC45 has a nicer trigger over the standard 45 shield.

I wish I could consider it more seriously especially with the rebate going on right now. With my small frame, I'm already having difficulty finding a comfy way to carry the Shield 9 LOL.

I live in South Central Texas.
I do just fine in August with shorts and a Tshirt.
Even cargo short/pants. No shield in the pocket for me but if your comfy with it cool beans.
