IWB holster?

The rebate coincidentally popped as I was debating between a shield and a 43 for a summer carry. Because of the price difference with the rebate I opted for a shield.

I carry a HK VP9 in a stealthgear holster in the cooler months. I may grab another for the shield but am unsure if I want to spend $110 on a holster I'll only use a couple months out of the year.

What do you all use?

I'm not interested in an AIWB as I'm forever scarred after seeing the kid unintentionally kill himself on video when reholstering in an AIWB. Blew open his artery and bled out fast :/

Welcome to our little corner of the net!

A lot of us use the Alien Gear IWB holsters, they are comfortable and very reasonably priced.

I use the Safariland/Bianchi model 135. I have one for my 40c and one for my Shield 40, been using them for over 4 years. Very comfortable with the mesh covered foam backing. The C-clips are also very inconspicuous and all but disappear on a black belt. It is also a "tuckable" holster if you should need to tuck your shirt in.

Panther Concealment, hands down for kydex.

I currently own six PC holsters, and two of their IWB knife sheaths.

Elite Survival Systems.

IWB - Model BCH-27, I forget what number for the Shield but you can call them and ask for size, they will also send a catalog. The clip they use is switchable to carry either side. Like a tight money clip and they now give you a strip of plastic because that friggin clip is HARD to open should you want to switch which side you want to tuck it into.

$29.00. Ballistic Nylon, won't scratch your gun. Yeah, I know it's a tool.................

To your comment. That is why my 2 Shields have the thumb safety as well as my MP 45c and 9mm Full size.

There is no wrong answer for safety vs. no safety. Mine is the former...........

I use a Bianchi Venom (leather w/thumb snap). Fits every gun i carry. G26 G43 Shield 9mm&45acp. I`m not a fan of any IWB with the leather backing... they feel like i`ve got a 4x8 sheet of plywood stuck in my pants. And i dont care for those appendix IWB either... those feel like a 2x4 being shoved down into my you know what. Not to mention, the appendix rigs constantly cut into me at the top, especially when your sitting down. No thanks. The Bianchi Venom conceals very nicely for me. Each person is different, you`ll just have to find what works best for you. Maybe suggest checking out some youtube videos... tons of holsters on there where people actually show you how they fit and or print.

So everyone has a favorite! Mine comes from https://www.cooksholsters.com They make a very strong kydex tuckable for about $50. All sorts, many that fit lasers, lots of color options, etc.
