I had a local shop cerakote my M&P in coyote tan. I think it turned out awesome. The PK380 is my new toy, I havent gotten a chance to shoot it yet. If my front sight on my M&P is off by 1mm will that affect POI at 15 yards? Here's some pics:

They did an awesome job, nice photographs also. May I ask how much they charged you and what was the turn around time? Again looks awesome.

I've seen a lot of crappy M&P paint jobs these last couple years, looks like you've done it right.

As far as your sight offset. Full size M&P sight radius is ~ 6 3/8", at 45' you would be off by about 85mm or 3 1/3". That said, the rule is for adjusting sights not for determining how far you'll be off, so fire it first without assuming it is off. If you're new to the M&P line you might want to have someone with more M&P experience fire it to get a good idea how far it's off.

The only problem that I can see with cerakote, is that it is less flexible than duracoat. The gun smith said that cerakote may not be the best for the backstrap and he was right. If you flex the backstrap you can see the cerakote start to crack. My gun smith said that he would re-do the backstrap in duracoat, but I actually prefer it black.

Can't you just buy a tan backstrap from S&W? Looks good by the way.
