I bought a new M&Pc a couple of months ago, but it was made in December 2008.
I have never had any problem (so far) with trigger failure, but I carry this gun for CCW and use it for IDPA and I'd hate to have it fail at the wrong time.
Since they have come out with a re-vamped trigger system, should I pay to have it updated, or leave it alone and worry a little about it?
If I have to have it updated, I might as well send it to Apex and have them do their magic with it, but I'm quite content with the stock trigger, which has been lightened by a gunsmith.

Neither one is an issue, if it isn't giving you issues...
A VERY small percentage of these guns EVER has issues. If you have some down time (like if you buy another gun), you may consider sending it off to S&W if they'll do the changes on their dime, but otherwise, keep it, shoot it enjoy it, and trust it.

I talked to S&W customer service and they told me they won't update the trigger for free.
