I really like how Glock did the grip texture on their Gen4 pistols. The guns tend to "stick" in the hand really well.
Just curious as to how a stippled M&P grip feels compared to the RTF grip found on the Gen4 Glocks. If you can't compare to the Glock texture, how much more traction does it add versus the stock grip? I've just never had the opportunity to handle a stippled M&P. Looking forward to your input.
Personally, I love the stippling on my Pro. It feels great in my hand. There is no way it will slip out of my hand no matter what the conditions. If you are unsure about the permanent modification the go with some Talon Grips or just cut and fit some grip tape. Try that out and then make your decision.
Seriously though, if I went M&P again, I'd sell of my Glocks but I have four of them! Seems like a lot of work. Perhaps I should save my $ and just buy me another M&P when I can?
I've had all three - had a Glock 19 RTF (sold it), currently have a M&P compact with Talon Grips, and a stippled full sized M&P. Out of the three, have to say I love the stippled grip on my full size. I actually carry it more than the compact - probably around 10,000 rounds through it since stippled in addition to EDC and the gun I train with. I've shot in the rain multiple times with the Talon Grips and stippled M&P and the stippling still won out.
