where do you sell your guns?

Title says it all. Thought I would get some of your opinions. I have a f/s m&p 9mm bought middle of 2015 and was going to sell it off to add some spice to my guns. Gun shops only offer like 250 and that is not happening. Does 400 hundred sound like to much for a f/s with the original box 3 17 round mags a safari land level 3 retention holster with only 1000 rounds through it and it just got new factory sites and they found nothing wrong besides that at the factory. Has anyone ever sold a gun on this site with good results? I haven't put it in the classifieds yet. Thanks

Last (only one, actually) M&P9 I bought used was a minty, low round count one with box, mags and all papers for $350.00.

I traded a 9c in the same condition a few years ago along with two extra mags for full retail value (then $569.00) in a private sale.

That's the only one I've ever gotten rid of, and I damn sure didn't have to "give it away."

That sounds like the best plan to me... There are plenty of area Facebook gun sales pages, thats probably as risky as Craigslist.. I prefer to trade mine in at the LGS and just take a beating but at least know THEY will do an FFL... I dont do that anymore. With the prices used guns ACTUALLY bring now a days, its really not worth it to SELL a good used gun, your better off just keeping the damn thing.

Reminds me, I need to buy a Hipoint for a sacrificial weapon when the blue helmets go door to door... give up the junk easy while the good stuff is in hide. :D

I have found that Armslist works pretty well; have sold two Rugers using that service. May I suggest that the closer your gun is to stock, the better chances it will sell. Be very detailed about any defects the gun may have, and what terms you accept. In my case, cash in face-to-face transactions, U.S. Postal Service money order if shipping to an FFL (add shipping and handling to your purchase price; tell the buyer you will do this). ALSO, consider getting a Google Voice account to give you a non-traceable number so gun thieves cannot track you down.
