M&P's Are Addictive !

About a week ago, I got an FDE full size .40, and liked it more than any polymer pistol I've tried.
I got up to my range twice while my daughter was here visiting, she liked to shoot it too.
I liked the M&P so much I sold my XDm9 and bought a second full size .40 from a co worker. He said he'd only fired half a box of ammo through it.
Well today, I went shopping after work and bought a Compact .22.
I've been .22 handgun poor for a while, only .22 pistol I've had is a Kimber conversion slide for my 1911. It's accurate and fun to shoot but is pretty finicky, only functions with CCI Mini-Mags.
From the reviews I've been reading the M&P seems to do good with standard velocity loads as well.
Headed to the range tomorrow to send some lead down range.
Obligatory Pics:

I bet the 22 compact is fun to shoot. I was just sitting here thinking...it would be good to use one to get proficient with, then move up to see any change. I know recoil has a lot to do with it...

The .22 Compact was a lot of fun. It was hitting a few inches right, but easy to correct with the adjustable rear sight. I had some old W-W Super-X and some Federal Auto Match (standard velocity), shot a couple hundred rounds without any malfunctions. Much better than my Kimber 1911 conversion.
Tried both of my FS .40's on paper at 25 yards, and they were dead on POA, no adjustment needed. Even with my worsening eyesight, managed to get 3 inch groups or so clustered around the bull. Was shooting UMC Megapack 180 FMC.
Also tried a few groups with some DoubleTap 150 grain Nosler @ 1250 fps.
I hear a lot about how "snappy" the .40 round is to some people and have to smile. After shooting .45 ACP +P, 10mm, .357 and .44 Mag., I think the .40 is downright pleasant.
However those DoubleTap loads are very "snappy". I thought I was shooting a 10mm!
They did group nice just like the 180 Rem-UMC loads.

My sister in law has a 22 compact that likes only the cci mini-mags also. I must have been lucky, as my 22 compact has shot anything I have tried (and that has been quite a variety) without any problems. I also have the Shield 9mm and the M&P full size 9mm. Oh yea, I almost forgot I also have a Sig P238 for when I want to pocket carry.
