I am cross posting this in the VIDEOS section too, I will have a side by side comparison with my 1.0 .40 and 1.0 Pro9 up soon.

The grip texture is basically just like the PRO and PC backstrap type and is AMAZING. I was worried at first, but after an hour of dry fire, and then trying out a normal smooth gun, no comparison, the stipling is amazeballs.

That new Remington has sort of a Hi-Point / Ruger SR series ugliness !

I really hope you remove this video, it shows VERY POOR gun safety skills. Muzzle pointed towards the other child in the video..??? Tug of war with a weapon...???
What the hell is wrong with you...! Wait till the anti-libturds get ahold of this video...DUH

.

This Safariland fit exactly the same as the regular M&P 9. I went and got this holster today at the gun shop I did not have my 2.0 with me but the guy let me try one of their regular M&P's in it and the fit is exactly the same.

So have any of you guys purchased the new 2.0 in the sand colored 5 inch model? Thoughts? What holster? I figure any open ended holster for last model mp would work but I wanting full coverage to end of barrel. The 5 inch also has the safety but not sure it's placement would cause issue with holster. I going to go look at the 2.0 tomorrow. Really liking the looks of the 5 inch model.

Funny you mention that it fits, several reviews have pointed out that the first gen M&P`s and the M2.0 next gen M&P`s wont interchange holsters. I`m thinking they are talking about plastic holsters wont interchange, because i dont see any reason why a soft fabric holster or leather holster wouldnt interchange. The only thing i see different is the width of the slide is more narrow on the M2.0 than the first gen M&P slide.

My old style blade-tech, Cross-Breed hybrid, Liberty Fox hybrid and unknown kydex all fit the M2.0 just as they did the Gen 1, Holsters and mags are the same. The slide cut outs are deeper on the 2.0, but the height is the same and so fit fine. Slides are not interchangeable due to the slide stop, The barrel contour is different, but I have not checked to see if they they fit the same.

Nice improvements but, I won't be selling my 1.0 but, I do want to add a 45 compact and possibly a 9mm compact to my collection down the road and depending on certain factors I'd consider the 2.0 for sure....

I want one of those FDE long barrel 2.0's. Saving my pennies. Looking forward to some good reviews with the Apex trigger on them.
