Interesting. Comparing it to my pro shop CORE, it comes with the enhance grip, but not just the replaceable backstrap, the front strap as well, also one extra backstrap. The slide lock is different, and some strange rectangular holes in the frame above the rail. Some cuts in the slide above the rail also, but I fail to see any use for them as they are vestigial at best.

I would have liked to see the trigger guard squared off up front and maybe with a little hook, but no such luck.

I'd like to see a 5" pro shop CORE version.

It gives me nothing when I search for a store.

Looks like they got rid of the "standard" junk triggers...hence the M2.0 (???)

PaPow, can't tell from the outside, and I'm long beyond believing a manufacturers words. We'll see. How much would you care to bet that all they did was get rid of the inventory of standard trigger parts on hand and now simply don't remove the Pro shop trigger parts from the assembly line, making them all with pro shop trigger parts? I'm not saying that wouldn't be an improvement. It's just not banner worthy. It's just one parts bin vs another. S&W could have done it long ago IMO, it's just parts from a bin and one costs no more to make than the other.

Don't misunderstand, I like my M&P, but I also rebuilt a large part of the innards to make it right.

Interesting

I can't wait to get my hands on one.

PLEASE MAKE THE COMPACT 2.0 sized more like a Glock19, and less like a Glock27

Looks like the black M2.0 has a 4 inch barrel, the baby poop colored one looks to be 5 inch (???)
They both appear to be fullsize frames...?

The 5 inch also appears to have a cross pin in the slide above the extractor.

I wonder what that's for?

The other doesn't have it.

Also, what is that little button just in front of the slide stop?

Select fire button?

Last but not least, that web page has disappeared from the Academy website but it was captured by TFB.

Thank God they DIDN'T go to a square/hooked front trigger guard.

If they ever do, I'll never buy another!

My exact thoughts too Rick.

Hey, did you see the new Remington 9mm & 45acp styker fired guns yet...???
I`d like to see it when they hit the gun stores, i need a good laugh...lol
Their last 9mm gun was a complete failure, all recalled.
