| New to the site... not new to forums
Hello all, glad to be here now. Name is Trenton and live in the extended Nashville area. Like the titles says new to this forum but not a newb to forums. A lot of people know me by my screen name which is very misleading when one does not know me and I love the reactions I get from clueless people. It is strongly connected to the car scene and motor sports. I have recently kinda step away from the car scene and opening a new chapter in my life with firearms and weaponry. I first bought an ATI GSG 522 and had a blast with it. Then decided it was time to get a nice daily capable subcompact so I picked up a. 40c this afternoon. I still have not got to shoot it and probably won't for a week or two :sigh: noticed a slight problem with the take down lever not stay engaged causing me having to hold it while I use the other hand to pull the slide off the slide lock. I made a thread about that already and hope to have it back 100% soon.

The problem is the result of a sprue mark left on the takedown lever in manufacturing. If you remove the slide you can tilt up the takedown lever about 15 deg. and it should pull right out. On the takedown lever you'll notice the flat surface where the recoil assembly touches it when the lever is in the down position, it has what looks like a wound on it. File that little bump flat and your pistol should work just fine. To put the takedown lever back in: With the lever horizontal to the frame, press it part way into the hole in the frame until it presses against the retention spring, then rotate it 90 degrees up to move the spring out of the way, then continue to insert the part until it's almost fully seated, then rotate the lever down to clear that spring again. |

| Thanks. I need to find time to look around on here more. Its a PITA without a mobile skin or tapatalk as I work easily 60+ hrs a week and I'm only around a computer while at home which my 6 month old takes most that time up. Never the less, I'm glad to be here and looking forward to what this site has to offer me and expand my knowledge. |
