Ben, aka Frenchy from Minnesota

Hi all,

I am a 23 year old mechanical engineer working on a 2nd degree in manufacturing engineering here in Minnesota.
I am originally from France but I've been living here for a few years now.
I teach firearm hunter safety, ride dirt bikes, work on my truck, typical dude that likes outdoors.
I shoot most weekend, mostly clays from my benelli nova and targets from my M&P.

I own a M&P9 performance center. I have done all the work myself and turned the trigger from great to heavenly great.

I've been reading this forum for years and learned a lot thanks to all of you, I am looking forward to keep learning and share my little experience here too.

Stay safe !

Ben

Welcome Ben, also known as Frenchy!

A Frenchman that drives a pickup, isn't that against the laws of nature or something like that?

Ahah exactly. Back home I'm a tree hugging animal loving socialist that drives a volvo diesel. And here I'm a Republican gun , truck, hunting, capitalism loving dude. I'm both ahah ! No seriously my accent is completely gone, I go through more ammo than most, I am completely integrated here. My girlfriend is sad that there is no french left in me here lol !

Welcome to the forum from Central Maine!

I'm not in what's typically known as fly over country, but it sounds as though you are the typical fly over country person. That's a really good thing IMO! It's what makes this country great and it's best future.

Thanks everybody. I got a feeling this forum isn't going to help my wallet get thicker, seriously I want a 9 shield, a full size 45 ... by the way when is S&W gonna wake up and build us a 10mm M&P? I've been eyeing a glock 20 for a while but don't want to jump on the other side !

Not much of a market for the 10mm anymore, but thats just my own opinion.

I know Papow ... it doesn't make sense financially and they're already busy producing other great selling guns. I just think we better engineering they could build platforms that use similar calibers, kinda like glock is doing it. I understand manufacturing it's what I calculate every day. They just need better planning, engineering and managing. It almost wouldnt cost them anything if it was done properly.

S&W isn`t the only one thats not making 10mm`s. Most people aren`t even fond of the .40 cal recoil, so the 10mm is just about instinct. Not to mention the cost of 10mm ammo, and its also very limited when you DO find it.
