Yes, there are 'holes on all of the forums. Some don't want others to help folks save some $ when they know something better is soon to be had (as compared to what's available presently). That just happened to me on another forum. I was accused of teasing to gin up sales for an unnamed company. We were given the info since we helped design the product and asked to not give out details so as to keep the phones from ringing ansd emails from piling up. But when I saw folks still thinking about buying a substandard product I had to say something. Everyone thinks they're correct, and certain personality types had to step forward to accuse me of doing what I already wrote. My concern was only to save folks $; from spending $100 and receiving junk. The strange thing about that personality type is that they never can consider that there are other types and that not everyone is like them or has their motivations. Call 'em self centered, lacking of introspection, knuckle draggers, low scorers, or just morons, and I'm being kind; whatever.

That's everywhere on the forums. The story I just wrote is just one instance. It also didn't happen here. But that personality type is everywhere in life and on the forums. Some people deal with it and others just sorta flip the bird and walk away. I know everyone on any of the forums that has any meaningful involvement on one has run across it either as the doer or as a recipient.

It's a shame to lose PaPow from the forum because he's knowledgeable and a decent gent who I would invite into my home and that's not done willy nilly. Of course the folks involved in his leaving won't even recognize their involvement or even care. They just don't think those thoughts.

Edit: Oh, and that forum where my story happened? I'm just there for myself anymore. My involvement for others has come to a halt. I just stopped.

The local shooter forum where we hear of matches and such... I just stopped there too. I just log on for what it can do for me. I just won't continually swim upstream fighting the current all the way. I know the folks involved and don't go onto their squads as I really never want to get even that close to them.
Thank you Brian, such very kind words, more than i`m worthy of... you take care buddie

PaPow, I think I'm a little older than you and there aren't that many of us old coots still around. I wish you would reconsider.

You seem to getting your high spirits back, your correct I am older(I get that a lot). Someone told me that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes. Besides if your not around who's going to teach this old dog some new M&P tricks.
Take care

I may have been one of the people who were a bit harsh on you, and for that I am sorry. Just for the record, I am an old coot also. Us old coots have to stick together, because the young ones are helpless

As a baby senior aka almost old coot , I am fascinated and impressed by peoples knowledge here and mostly come here to learn . Never even shot a hand gun until I turned 60 and mostly for self defense as a few things happened in my neck of the woods to warrant it . It's been fun learning etc , but looking at sights is a challenge eyeballs ain't what they use to be . At least I can hit paper lol . My only regret is not getting involved earlier in life . Have only shot semi autos and a shot gun . I realize people have opinions and it makes us who we are . We all support the right to bear arms so in the end we are on the same team .

PaPow, you almost got me to post some things best left said for a PM and not written publicly.

BTW, you wrote it much more tactfully than what I almost posted.
