Well I'm new but like I always say, Gotta do whatcha gotta do.
I dumped an XD pistol forum because the rules only applied to certain people.
Not my right to question why.

Good Luck and stay safe.

So long folks....

Always wonder why folks feel the need to say bye.

Just as easy to just not come back.

I have some sign ins to several sights that I have not visited in yrs. never said bye.

Ant be thin skinned and take everything personal on the intersweb or youll be leaving alot of forums.

That's pretty much what I do, knowing that friends will stay in touch, forum involvement or no involvement. But everyone has their own style. Not everyone wants to swim upstream fighting the current the entire way.

Yes, there are 'holes on all of the forums. Some don't want others to help folks save some $ when they know something better is soon to be had (as compared to what's available presently). That just happened to me on another forum. I was accused of teasing to gin up sales for an unnamed company. We were given the info since we helped design the product and asked to not give out details so as to keep the phones from ringing ansd emails from piling up. But when I saw folks still thinking about buying a substandard product I had to say something. Everyone thinks they're correct, and certain personality types had to step forward to accuse me of doing what I already wrote. My concern was only to save folks $; from spending $100 and receiving junk. The strange thing about that personality type is that they never can consider that there are other types and that not everyone is like them or has their motivations. Call 'em self centered, lacking of introspection, knuckle draggers, low scorers, or just morons, and I'm being kind; whatever.

That's everywhere on the forums. The story I just wrote is just one instance. It also didn't happen here. But that personality type is everywhere in life and on the forums. Some people deal with it and others just sorta flip the bird and walk away. I know everyone on any of the forums that has any meaningful involvement on one has run across it either as the doer or as a recipient.

It's a shame to lose PaPow from the forum because he's knowledgeable and a decent gent who I would invite into my home and that's not done willy nilly. Of course the folks involved in his leaving won't even recognize their involvement or even care. They just don't think those thoughts.

Edit: Oh, and that forum where my story happened? I'm just there for myself anymore. My involvement for others has come to a halt. I just stopped.

The local shooter forum where we hear of matches and such... I just stopped there too. I just log on for what it can do for me. I just won't continually swim upstream fighting the current all the way. I know the folks involved and don't go onto their squads as I really never want to get even that close to them.

If it is a problem with the site, it might have been interesting to know why he is leaving. Constructive criticism can be a good thing.

I've noticed that and almost commented on it a time, or two, but it's not that important to me, who fights with who, as long as I can glean some good info/experiences from time to time.

I don't carry my M&P's anymore but I still drop in daily and sometimes there's some good info that relates to other stuff I'm doing.

Good luck.
