I tried it in hopes it would remove lead better than other stuff. It didn't do much better. Once I found out about 50/50 mix of vinegar and Hydrogen peroxide I no longer need it. I now soak the barrel 5 minutes in the V/H mix followed by a soap and water rinse then light application of Hoppes 9.

I have been using Gunzilla for about 2 yrs and have been pleased with the results. It cleans and lubricates with no smell nor harsh chemicals which means you can use it anywhere. I use weapon shield for lubricating the slide areas and the barrel, but if you clean after each range outing(mine are 100-200 down range) Gunzilla seems to lubricate enough to operate all the functions of a semi properly. Will it do better than some others on the market, maybe not, but in an all around cleaner and lubricant it is hard to beat. zorro49

Have you ever tried Lucas gun oil? I've been using it for about 4 years, with outstanding results.

However, when they say us sparingly, they (Lucas) really mean sparingly. First time I used it on a 1911, I had to dissasemble, clean everything out with Gun Scrubber, and re-apply, sparintly. I don't know how many people on this site may have tried it, or what kind of results they might have gotten, because I haven't seen it mentioned, but I love the stuff, both as a lube, and a very light coating on outer surface parts.

If it is the old BreakFree from the 1980's, yeah, that is good stuff. It has changed formulas at least twice and they took all the good stuff out (thanks EPA) and it is now, just...meh.

If you get the BreakFree that the military issues (with the white printing and the MIL number on it) that is pretty good, but still not as good as Hoppe's #9 solvent.

Hoppes #9 and Hoppes Elite Gun Oil. Don't mess with a good, simple thing.

i've found that products like break free tends to accumulate in hard to reach places, and starts to collect gunk. lately, i've just been using hoppes for cleaning, and a few drops of rem oil for the slide and other moving parts. once in a while i'll spray everything down with gun scrubber, and then some rem oil.

I clean with CLP, and lube with Weaponshield.

I can get the CLP at Wallyworld, and I've got a TUB of the Weaponshield that should last me til about 2063.

I'm a fan of M-Pro 7 LPX. I just ran a 3 day test with samples of Militec 1, BreakFree CLP, Weapon Shield, Otis Special Forces Dry Lube, M-Pro 7 LPX, FrogLube, and Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor oil. I coated nickel-plated steel fasteners with these samples per manufacturer instructions, sprayed with a 5% salt spray at 24 hour intervals while leaving them in the Texas sun for 3 days. LPX is the only one that made it to day 3 without the fastener rusting, though the Otis Dry Lube lasted almost as long (2 1/2 days).

I already was a fan of Hoppes Elite Gun Cleaner, which according to the MSDS is the same as the M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner. Looks like Hoppes has some great stuff in the M-Pro line.

Since I just completed the test I haven't really had a chance to test the lubricity of the Otis Dry Lube, so I'll stick with LPX for now. The Otis may prove handy for concealed carry, if only for coating the exterior slide.
