Since purchasing my M&P 22 compact been extremely happy. Fired over 1500 rounds trying different ammo and all work well. Clean it after taking to range. Good size for wife and me for shooting. I may purchase full size 9mm next.

Unfortunately, we usually only hear from the squeaky wheels. So I'd like to offer a general poll, trying to understand the overall picture.

Please rank the performance of your M&P.

Thanks.
I thought the same way until I sold my Glock and went out and brought one. Now I have two and on my way to a third one. They shoot awesome for me and I will put them up aganist any other gun or name brand. I will only buy and trust my life to the M&P line of firearms. I hope this help in your decision

I've had my 40c for about 4 years now. The only times I've had failures is when I try to save money and put my 9mm conversion barrel in. Then I get an occasional failure to eject.

I have had this firearm about a week now and put 463 rounds thru it without issue. Thousands more to come.

Why a Shield?
When you have the 9C.

I bought my fs 40 in 2007 and had the mag drop issue that required 2 trips to S&W to solve. Then it broke the slide release on the ejection side. When the 45 was introduced I bought one of the first ones I could find. That pistol has broke 2 slide stops also on the ejection side. S&W has now made a stronger slide release and I don't expect to have any further issues. S&W has always had great customer service and has given me a total of 4 mags for my troubles.
