For my part, I don't even put an NRA bumper sticker on my car, because I don't want to scream "gun on board" to anyone who sees it. I'd love to put a "Protected by Smith & Wesson" sign on my house, but I don't want anyone to know I have even a single gun that they can come steal.

I have a sig sauer sticker on the work truck.....thats about it. Otherwise I agree with you......luckily we can maintain a certain level of anonimity here.

woops voted wrong shoulda put 11 to 15

2 m&p 9mm (one technically my wife's)

1 sig p239

1 colt gold cup trophy 1911

1 springer gi model 1911

1 springfield m6 scout 22 hornet & .410

1 benelli sbe (old style)

1 mossberg youth model 20 guage (technically daughters)

1 winchester youth model 20 guage (technically sons)

1 winchester 1200 12g shotgun

1 rra lower/lmt upper AR15

was at the rambo stage but i gave up some inventory becasue the ammo was just too dang much money for so many different calibres. Now i only have to have 9mm .45 .223 and 12guage in serious quantity. I keep a little bit of the .22 hornet .410 and 20 guage for the youngings. Ammo was eating me alive.

Nice to see an old friend here!

Guns are a good investment for a lot of people. There are people out there who buy >100 guns/year, just for that reason (I wish I had the money to do this, but regrettably, I am not one of these folks). Unlike the stock-market, values almost never go down.

I asked him how many guns he owned and he said I should never ask a gun owner that because it might encourage people to break into their house! I found it slightly amusing that he was offended.

Yup, that guy isn't wrong. Just like some people read obituaries in the newspaper to plan burglaries!

Having had my car "tossed" at a local Sears auto repair center (many years ago) due to a police sticker on it, I can appreciate and agree with Mitch's comments above.

I have....A few too many. Several old well used shotguns that I inherited that I need to sell. A few that are near and dear to my heart. I'll probably be adding a .22 pistol to the collection when my daughter gets a little older. My safe is so full, I can't fit anything else.

Well these are all the ones in the house (21 total) we keep all our guns in our own rooms- no 3 step rule...meaning that we don't live by the rule that there should be no place in the house where a weapon is no within 3 steps of you. When I get a house I will!

G.W. Bush responded to this same question with the response "probably more than I need but not near as many as I want." I would have to agree with that.
