9mm compact.

Compact because I plan on carrying it.

9mm because:

1. I am very comfotable with the current premium defens rounds.

2. Less felt recoil IMHO

3. Higher capacity magazines.

4. Less expensive to shoot

I wanted to get my first carry gun, and 40 is the biggest caliber in a compact(currently). Thats why I voted 40c. My next gun will be for range/potential competition and that will be a 9mm for cheaper ammo cost.

I was really confused when I started reading this one. I kept wondering why everyone was quoting Jester...

I like my 9mm's! Cheap ammo is your friend unless you have a lot of money. If that's the case, PM me, I can help you with that problem.

I chose the .40c. I considered the 9mm but I wanted a .40 more. I like the extra power of the .40 for defense.

I think 9mm is cheaper and is more than sufficient for self defense and most of my guns are 9mms. I also own guns in 7.62x25, 38 special, 9x18 MAK, 32 acp, 22lr, and three other guns in 9mm. I had no desire to add another caliber in that mix! It is much easier to buy 9mm bulk and have ammo for several of my guns.

I picked 9mm,

1. cost of ammo

2. mag capacity

3. Good reviews

i don't care what I carry for self defense, as long as the first number is a 4!

One of each is the way to go.

The .40 is for the strong hand and 9 the weak one.

MP 45

1) use for self defense and it will drop anything no matter where I hit it.

2) color was amazing
