Life Member since the late 1970s; Endowment Member since 2011.

The NRA is the most effective of the national gun rights organizations, but even if it wasn't, it would be worth being a member simply because statists hate and fear the NRA more than anything else on earth.

Cheers,
Whisper

My wife and I are both members of the NRA and NAGR(National Assosication for Gun Rights). RMGO(Rocky Mountain Gun Owners) to come soon as well.

I would highly recommend joining the NAGR in addition to the NRA. Their membership has recently skyrocketed to over 3mil and they pride themselves on being a "No Compromise" organization. The head of NAGR is the same man at the helm of RMGO; Dudley Brown. Very solid and good guy.

I am a member because I chose to be. In addition, my rifle club requires it (which I find fantastic).

NRA - Annual member

GOA (Gun Owners Association)

NRA because they attack the the state and national lawmakers head on with law suits etc.

GOA because they are more grass roots, encouraging members to notify their state and national legislators. They do this by sending pre-addressed post card with a message on the back. You sign, stamp, and mail. These campaigns have had positive results.

NRA annual member for over 35 years, GOA probably 10 years, NAGR just under a year, OFF (Oregon Firearms Federation) about 7 years. We need to be strong and united for our second amendment rights on the national, state, and local level. Stay informed and stay involved.
