If you compare the FS 9mm with the 45c with the mag with the finger rest they are pretty much the same length. The FS 9mm also has a longer beavertail which the 45c does not so that might affect concealment slightly.

RMF (or anyone else who owns a FS9 or FS40 and a 45c) Can you post pictures of the two, comparing sizes?

Thanks

A caliber conversation thankfully avoided. Whew--that was a close one.

I only wanted to mention that, while I don't think a gun that's .25" shorter adds much to concealability in the same setup, you might find that even a little bit less length makes high-ride OWB setups a bit more practical and easier to draw from. High-ride can be a bit of a challenge for old guys like me who have lost some flexibility.

1/4 inch difference in barrel length doesn't make an appreciable difference. !/4" difference in grip length can be the difference that gives you away especialy if you lean forward.

I carry a 45c most of the time and a 45fs occasionaly in the same Galco Summer Comfort IWB at 3:00 to 3:30. The full size shows when I lean forward and the compact doesn't. The high ride seems to agree with this old guy.

Actually, I've been thinking about a similar question with my G19. Would a FS M&P be that much harder to conceal? I understand that the 45c is very close to the G19 in size. I can't conceal the G19 very well anyway when it gets warm. I've been lusting over a FS M&P 9.
