That is almost like asking a parent to choose your favorite child! They all have their strong points, the 9, cheap ammo. The 40, good ballistics and not hard to handle. The 45, well it's a 45. As for the 357, I do not have one.....yet. I am going to be PC and say I love all of the three calibers I currently have equally.

The 40 S&W is my second favorite round, my first choice is the 10mm. Capacity and stopping power makes it a great replacement to the 9mm.

Got the M&P 9FS because I got a great deal on it with a TLR-1 while S&W was running their mags or rebate promotion. My intention was to use it for handgun and carbine classes because the 9mm is more economical for me since I don't reload. I has since become my "night time noise investigator" with some Ranger T's due to the fact that is has the light, allowing my reaction hand to be free to open doors etc. etc.

I have the M&P .40 with an aftermarket Storm Lake .357 Sig barrel and a 9mm barrel. I have ZERO complaints with the gun other than the trigger is mushy and crunchy. Dan Burwell has my .40 right now resolving the crappy trigger issue. After reading all the testimonials on this site about Dan's trigger jobs, I just had to see what all the hype is about. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I'm eagerly awaiting the return of my M&P.

I picked up my 40c to be my EDC. I had been carrying a PPK/S .380 up till then. Th M&P was my first poly frame and I fell in love with the platform. I went with the .40 because I had a short love affair with a 1006 many years ago and kick my self daily for not buying that beautiful hunk of steel. Well, the M&P isn't available in 10mm so 40 was the next best thing, right? Turned out OK. I like the 40. I reworked the striker block and sear and I recently bought the .357sig barrel for it. I have to say that while it's a hoot at the range, it(.357sig) would not be my first choice in a caliber for carry.

I handled the 45c a year or so later and found it to be the perfect fit for me. Of course it followed me home. I added Warren Tactical's mixed night sights and Apex's USB and sear. This has taken it's place as my go to carry pistol, though I do rotate with the .40c and my SW1911 occasionally.

I traded my M&P 9 and an old Buckmark 22 (plus a bunch of cash) for a 9c and Pro 9. I've been very happy with the newbies so far.

I have the 9 full size. My only M&P. I got it because the 9 has AMAZING recoil! As far as other calibers 9 works for me, I HATE .40 and respect the .357 have have better .45's and have no qualms packing my 9 and 5 mags of CorBon PowRBall. Though most of the time its just 3. Thats just my tale. HOWEVER that said, this is the best 9 mm i have ever seen and Ive seen A LOT!

About a month or two ago I went down to the local shop to check out a special they had on a ruger p90. While waiting for some help I took a look through the m&p's in the case. After getting some assistance and fondling them for awhile I forgot all about that ruger. I really like the way they feel and the sights seem to line up naturally. I ended up getting a 40c and a few extra mags thrown in for a decent price.

Add a M&P15psx and a M&P15-22, and that covers my collection. Love shooting them all.
