Let me exsplain me. I know some don't care but just skip it if it helps one person it's worth while.

Three years ago I leaned strongly to the agnostic point of view. My life was a mess I was cheating on my wife, lying to friends and family, just no care in the world. Then my wife told me we were going to have another child. That didn't change much in me. When we go to the dr to find out boy or girl my wife my 4 year old at the time daughter and I were shocked to find out it was a girl and a boy. The dr here in town refered us to a "multiple child" dr at UK to ensure we had the best care we could. On our first appointment there he informs us that we should go see a pediatric cardiologist. The cardiologist tells us that our daughter has tetralogy of fallott. It's a heart defect that's no to rare but dose require multipul surgeries. This got me thinking. Why? Over the next few months a gentlemen I had known of my hole life stopped by our house a few times inviting us to church. He is the pastor of a small country baptist church. My wife began to nag me so I gave in thinking "I can just go in sit down and not listen". I can sure tell you if you go to that church yo will listen. As hard as I tried to avoid overlook what was happening, something was going on. I couldn't get thoughts of heaven and hell out of my head, I couldn't ignore somthing was happening. I took my bible which hadn't really ever been read and started reading a little. The pastor saw my and ask if I was looking for something In particular, I said I want to know what's weighing on me so much. He then told me " when you get a chance flip to Romans 10:13". I turned righ to it. It says " for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". I remember thinking that's it thants all you have to do?

Later that day I invited the Lord into my heart and became a born again child of god. Fast forward. The twinns are hear Easton is great he was 5 lbs 14 oz and justa bundle of joy. Emma on the other hand looks very blue and is 3 lbs 11 oz. the dr calls us in to tell us that along with her heart problems she has a rare genetic disorder which causes her to be blind and very poor hearing. We prayed a lot for the next year year and a half. During this time my mother and father joined a church and were saved 6 people in my wife's familey were saved and began going to church. All is good.

One year ago last week were were scheduled for Emma to go in to her repair of her heart. We got there at 5am and our pastor made the 2 hour drive to be with us. They took her back to the or just like the countless times she had heart caths (5 up till now). We thought it was no big deal. 10 hours later they let us go into her room. She is on a vent with 17 medicine pumps pumping threw her iv. We were told all went well. We knew it would be 10 days or so befor she could go home. The ten days turned in to twenty and thirty and so on. I notice that she seems to be going down hill. So I had a talk with on of the dr in the ICU there that I really thought a lot of and he told me " everyone that comes here should decide where they shan't to stop. You cross a line sometimes in to doing things to them instead of for them". This crushed me and my wife we wondered why her she didn't do anything wrong. One day while I was praying about her my mind just changed channels to thinking about all she had accomplished in her life. Way more than most adults I know she got dozens of people back in church and dozens more became saved. So later that day the dr comes in and says she building fluid up in her abdomine and her lunges we installed the drain tubes but it won't stop. "there is nothing more we can do" Thats the worse thing I have ever herd in my life!!! So my wife and I desided to bring her home. She was on a feeding pump oxygen tuns of medicines and a drain tube comming frome her belly. We finally prayed for God to do his will. And two weeks later he took her home to be with him in heaven.

Now I know that Emma is a perfect child running around and playing with our family in heaven and I have gotten a burden wanting people to go there and see her.

I don't expect everyone to care what happend in my life but I just wanted to say if I can be brought to the light so can you. We now attend church Sunday morning Sunday evening wendsday night and tuseday night. My wife and I are happy with one an other our kids are a joy and I still miss Emma every day but I Know I will see her again. I will be praying for those of you that don't believe.

Sorry for the typos.

The point of the post above is how it's made me from a person who had no morals and cared for no one to one who cares for other whith a higher morals than before.

Luke that was a real heart felt testimony, thanks for sharing. I'm very sorry for your loss. Your Emma is without a doubt in a better place.

The interesting thing about God that most don't understand or I should say choose not to understand is the He hates religion. It is unfortunate that religion the one thing we associate God with.

I find it interesting that because you disagree with my views, you think I'm not worthy of consideration. You do, of course, realize that you're implicitly doing exactly of what you accuse liberals, yes?

I don't know what an INTJ is either, but I recognize the fallacy of someone who sings the praises of Al Franken, uses terms like "fairy tales" , "delusion", 'exclusion" etc...these are very common concepts used in dictatorships, socialist and marxist governments. Kim Il Jung would be proud of you. You sing the praises of people who would disarm us at will, on a gun-interest forum. Interesting paradox there. But I have my own form of exclusion, and it's not a blanket fix, it only affects one. It's called "ignore the maudlin blathering of a left wing political troll" and goes like this. Go to user profile, and add willy wonka, or whatever your name is, to the ignore list. Easy, clean and done.

Williaty's posts have been deemed insufficient by an INTJ, including that of the above, user is now summarily rejected.

"Nuke an unborn gay baby whale for Jesus"

Jason, just curious, how do you differentiate the unborn gay baby whales, from the unborn straight baby whales? I've often pondered this, without ever finding conclusive emperical data.

Luke, I was befuddled by your first post, but you have explained it.

I tend to be agnostic in my faith. I have lost faith in most churches and men that preach. Most churches are more interested in the almighty dollar than they are in saving souls. And most of their patrons think they can buy their way into heaven never really understanding the true reason or meaning.

I tend to find my solace in the outdoors and my family. I worship and pray in my own way and admire all he has created on a daily basis. It has been a long time since I have been in a church, but never the less, my faith is strong.

And that is what's important. Also it seems to me the smaller and the farther in the country the church the better.

I was not aware Franken was against gun ownership. If so, that's definitely a mark against him. Can you provide a link to documentation of this? If he's really pro-disarmament, that definitely takes him off my like list.

As far as why I'm saying this stuff on a pro-gun forum, it's because I'm an athiest, liberal, lefty gun owner. We do exist, you know.

Regarding MBTI & INTJs...

INTJ = Arrogant Arsehole.... or some such thing. I don't watch or own a TV, but it's something like a character named "House."

If you are bored and interested take some tests; find out what your MBTI is, it's all very interesting.

Quote:
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. These preferences were extrapolated from the typological theories proposed by Carl Gustav Jung and first published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English edition, 1923).

I've seen people with "God" in their hearts do some morally heinous things and people with no faith or belief in anything really come close to being

Mother Teresa, having said that I'll never judge anyone based on their private beliefs but by the fiber of their character. I wouldn't give a damn if those in Congress or the White House were Jewish, Mormon, Atheist, Protestant, or Catholic as they had my best interests at heart (which of course they do not).

Interesting. How do you know what they have in there hearts? You will find a lot of people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. That's why true Christians have so much trouble appalling to the lost. They see there buddy that gos to church on Sunday morning get out a cut loose on Saturday night. Not very Christ like!!!

Haha That's very true. Most people I meet who are devout Christians are very upstanding and truly kind people.
