Grip Preferences

What is your preference?

I like mine stock.

I pretty much had my fill of non-skid during my time afloat; no joy. Anyone who has ever worked or fallen on a helo deck will understand why.

I like the added grip that I get from Talon grips. I have one currently on my Shield... it rocks! I am hoping that they will open their site up for new orders so I can order a couple more to have on-hand for my other M&P's.

I heard on FB i think, that Talon is back online. I have a stippled backstrap coming for fine. Not sure how much i'll like it/use it. So far, i love the feel of the small backstrap. I've tried Hogues, and CT grips, but have gone back to the stock small strap.

I was so surprised at how good the grip felt the first time I picked up a Full size M&P .40, that it was love at first grip, and I'm not going to tamper with the "magic" until I sense a real need to. Target shooting and home defense don't really seem to demand the same type of " no slip" grip, at least, for me.

Makes a rugburn feel good.

I refer stock and am happy with the adjustable sizes.

I'm sold on the stock grip with the medium backstrap, why mess with perfection?

Medium back strap was a tad too small, large was a tad too big, Crimson Trace laser grips are juuuuust right.

I have used the stock grips for the past 6 years but decided to try one of Aziators stipple jobs a few weeks back. I just think the starburst looks good. Our Fire Season caused shooting in the forest and our club's range to be shutdown temporarily so haven't shot with it yet. Can't vote till it has been tried.

Jason, I spent 4 years in the Navy on Radar Picket duty and never tasted antiskid although a couple of Typhoons made things difficult. Did they let you sip the suds at sea in the CG??

I like mine stippled. I did mine myself and it turned out awesome IMO. A little bit of extra grip without being too abrasive.

Good job. One of the better stipple jobs Ive seen. I think most people over do it. This actually looks comfy and like like you F'd up your frame.

Stippled med and large backstraps, and a custom pattern of grip tape I cut for the front strap. I usually cut just enough to fit the front of whatever pistol Ive bought, but the M&P fs has a seriously radiused curve so that if you dont cut enough away, the tape wrinkles up. As I run it now I can run SSP in IDPA.

I have shot many matches in the rain in Florida and South Carolina. Sandpaper grip tape works wonders. The grip on my Glock RTF2 is also very effective.

Stippled both my grip and grip frame. It felt a bit rough so took some fine sandpaper to take off the "flashing" ridges between the indentations. Now it's perfect especially in the 100+ TX heat w/ sweaty hands.
