As others here have said, I like the extra grip at the top of the large grips but not the width. I'm not sure I want to try slimming the grips down myself. What I'd really like is a combination of the small grip with the top part of the large. Anyone make an aftermarket grip like that?

Small feels the best to me, but I do the like the palm swells on the medium. I haven't landed on either yet for sure.

I have the medium backstrap on there with a hogue slip on grip and really like the feel of that.

I liked the large backstrap but didn't like the entire swell being on the back half of the grip, I like how the hogue spreads it out a bit and adds the finger grooves

I voted small but I've tried the medium as well and it didn't seem to work as well as the small for me.

I use small now, I noticed with medium, the palm swells would rotate on my hand a lot easier if my hands started to sweat, while the small kept a firmer grip.

I took the small and medium to the range. The small fit my hand a little better, but I shot better with the medium. I think I shoot better with the medium because it keeps more of my trigger finger off of the trigger.

Large

Being able to switch to the larger grip was one of the reasons I bought a 40c. My hand could feed a family of 4 for months.

I'm using the medium grip although I have small hands. The medium grip lets me place the pad of my index finger just right on the trigger. The small grip naturally place it on the joint.

When I first got the gun and handled it, I liked the small the best even though I have large hands. I think that was because I was coming from a taurus pt-92 which has a huge grip. On the next trip to the range, I'm gonna try the medium and see if I shoot better with that. I will eventually test the large too, in the interest of fairness.

+1 on the Hogue grip sleeve on the small backstrap. :!: :!: :!:

Coming from being stictly a 1911 shooter, I've never had the luxury of interchangable backstraps OR a Hogue Handall grip sleeve. I'm currently using the Hogue over top of the small backstrap on the M&P and couldn't ask for a better solution to my particular wants [for cheap, too].

Medium is too small.

Large is too big.

Modified the large grip to fit my hand. Works great.

I use the medium grip with a Hogue handall over the top. It fits my hand PERFECTLY. The palm swell of the Hogue fills the gap between my palm and the frame as if the pistol was custom made for me.

Give it a try.
