Sigma 9VE. It was a great gun and never had one problem with it. After carrying it for three years I traded it in on a new M&P9. Used to do that with my pickup trucks...now my Chevy Silverado is 10 years old and just turned 192,000. Plan on keeping the M&P for quite awhile!

Depends on where you live, who you are, and how much power you have. *cough*Feinstein*cough*...

Did I ever mention how I despise California?

Los Angeles County it's pretty much impossible (I know someone who does work here in the LA area with Class III items, but the county still wouldn't issue him a CCW permit.)

Orange County it's actually pretty easy. For Sheriff Corona, "I am an avid shooter and would like to be able to carry." is a valid reason to issue a permit.

G19/G17 and a Yost 9MM HiPower. I'm not giving up any of these for now. I have to make sure the M&P will work for me. This will probably take at least a year.

Full size Berettas have been my CCW for a while. I still love the 92s and 96s, and will never stop owning them, but the M&P is a little easier to conceal, and more comfortable IWB with no controls sticking out.

before my M&P .40S&W, I would carry either a S&W J-frame Model 60 chambered in .357 Magnum or a S&W L-frame Model 396 chambered in .44 Special.

I will be switching from a P2000 to a M&P as soon as I decide which one I want.

"Technically" I haven't started carrying the M&P [yet]. I'm a 1911 shooter and have carried a 5" Kimber (Series 1) concealed and in IDPA competition for close to 10 years. I'm 6'2", 210 lbs and can conceal one of those. The M&P was the most logical, economical migration into a high-cap polymer 9mm that emulated the 1911. Once I've put it through the ringer and have proven it worthy, I'll consider this as a carry piece. It's gained high regards in my book for reliability and accuracy within the first thousand rounds. I'm really pleased with this gun (or I wouldn't be gabbing about it on this forum.)

I used to carry a Glock 23 on a daily basis. Since this M&P came into my llife a while back, I made the switch and have never looked back. This M&P pistol is one of the nicest production type pistols I have ever carried.
