Well, I just turned 21 so before I got the M&P 9mm I carried (and still do) an Emerson Commander lock blade with the wave feature. It's quicker on the draw than a switchblade but it doesn't require a concealed carry permit where I live.

I use to be a die hard Sig Guy, Since I got my M&P 9mm, I have now traded my other Sig for another M&P'. I really like the way the pistols index, shoot and just feel.

mine was a other, a rossi .38spl snubnose in stainless. I love that little gun as it has been worked on a lot, functions very well and is very comfortable to wear. I am still trying to conceal the M&P under summer clothes. Not sure if that will ever happen. I am 5'11" 180 lbs (up from 160 this time last year!). I may be getting the Rossi back in the holster (funny, I actually use the same holster for both right now) when summer comes around though.

Wilson creek, how did you like the Para LDA CCO? I'm not trying to hijack, I'll start another thread if need be.

Im not surprised to see alot of Glock owners switching to the M&P. I have nothing against them, but a Glock has never felt comfortable in my hand, they just dont work for me. I used to carry a Sig, p229 to be exact. Fantastic gun, good size, reliable, rugged, well made... but I started to dislike the DA/SA trigger. Yes I could get a DA only sig, or even have mine converted, but it was time to add something to my collection. I don't actually carry my M&P yet as I just got it yesterday and only put 300 rounds down range. After a little more practice and a new holster ill have her on my hip.

FEG PA-63 (9mm Makarov). I'll still carry it sometimes, but it used to be my primary in the summer. The Springer Mil-Spec feels even heavier now, though. I'll still take it for a walk now and then, but mostly to the range.

I used to carry a Keltec P11. I wanted something that I could shoot more accurately, quickly, and was reliable with more types of premium ammo. The M&P filled that niche in SPADES. It is much better than I thought it would be and it is only slightly larger than the KT.
