After market front sight

Who has them and what brand did you go with? If you have a fiber optic front sight what color and brand? I want to get a fiber optic front but I'm wondering what the best or most used color is?

I did not vote, as I have not used all three colors and would not be able to give you a complete assessment.

I've only used red FO front sights, but they're very visible and clear. I'm not sure if any manufacturers make purple FO for this purpose, but I that would be my preferred color. You can find red/green/orange lights in lots of places, especially when around electronics, but you rarely ever see anything bright purple in any environment. For that reason, I find it the color that best stands out in any given environment.

Just my $.02

I prefer the red FO most of the time. I've got a Speed Shooters on my M&P 45, which I really like alot. You can buy either red or green light pipes from them and switch, although it'd take you 5 minutes or so to do it. I've also got 2 Hi-Viz sights on a Kimber 1911 Eclipse and a Browning Buckmark pistol. FO is the way to go. Don't know about the Dawson- Talk to Kenny at Speed Shooters Specialties. He handles them along with his sight. Only thing I'll say is I read quite a few posts about the Dawson needing some fitting done and some fellas were having a hard time with it. My Speed Shooters sight went right into the M&P dovetail with no problem. You just have to be patient and make deliberate taps/raps to slide it into the dovetail.

My Warren came with both red and green, and after looking at each rod, the red just seemed to be that much brighter to me; it was a pretty simple choice for me.
