Remington Recall 4/13/14
Hey everyone, obviously this is an S&W forum but I know a lot of us own multiple brands of guns so I figured I'd throw this out there in case it applies to anyone on here.
I saw earlier today that Remington issued a recall on their Model 700 and Model Seven rifles with the X-Mark Pro triggers manufactured from 5/6/06 until 4/9/14. There may be an excess amount of a bonding agent that can cause the XMP trigger to unintentionally discharge the firearm.
More information can be found here
Remington Recall Info
In addition you can input your serial number here and automatically know if yours is one of the affected rifles.
Remington Serial # Diagnosis
I saw all of this after their customer service left for the day, so I will call them tomorrow and update this thread.

Thanks for posting...I always appreciate knowing of firearms recalls. The last 700 I bought was back in the 80's.
